About
Daniel Reyes built his practice around an observation from residency: the adults who avoid the dentist almost always had a bad first four visits as children.
Alamo Kids Dentistry front-loads accordingly. First visits are free, run about twenty minutes, and frequently involve no instruments at all. Clinical work starts once the child is willing, which sometimes means the third appointment and occasionally means the fifth.
Every operatory has a door rather than a partition, because a crying child two chairs over is the fastest way to lose the one in front of you. Two rooms are configured for patients with sensory sensitivities and bookable at the edges of the day. Reyes has never used the word “papoose” with a parent without first offering three alternatives.
