About
River District Dental takes cases most practices decline, and it takes them slowly. Dr. Marcus Hale’s practice is built on a premise that runs against nearly every incentive in the field: that a complicated mouth is better served by a treatment sequence measured in years than in visits.
The office sits in a former warehouse on the Central Eastside, with a lab that occupies nearly a third of the floor plate. Roughly half the practice’s work arrives on referral from other dentists.
What Makes Them Stand Out
- Every full-arch case begins with a diagnostic period of at least three months before any irreversible treatment.
- The practice keeps its own lab in-house, which lets Hale iterate on a provisional restoration for weeks rather than committing on the first try.
- Referring dentists get a written case narrative at every stage — a practice Hale started because he was tired of receiving none.
