About
At Sunset Smile Studio, the first appointment produces a scan, a set of photographs, and nothing else. Dr. Grace Lin’s patients spend an average of six weeks in a design phase before any tooth is touched, wearing printed mock-ups home and returning with notes.
It is a slower, more expensive front end than most cosmetic practices tolerate, and Lin argues it is the only part of the process that can still be undone.
What Makes Them Stand Out
- Patients wear a printed provisional for at least two weeks before preparation begins, and roughly one in five changes the plan.
- The practice photographs and archives every case at eight stages, and shows prospective patients the ones that required revision.
- Lin does not quote a fee until the design phase is complete.
